Day 1 – Arrive Bergen
Upon arrival to Bergen airport first we are heading to our accommodation to later meet our tour leader who will review the weeks plan. Enjoy the quirky city of Bergen, there won’t be too much time to explore today, but you will have couple of days’ time. There are some great sea food restaurants in town, so possibly venture out with the group for a bite to eat.
Day 2 – Hiking Trolltunga and Fjords Camping
Today is the day. We are leaving Bergen for two days to experience and see one of the most significant rock formations in Norway. We are heading for a hike to reach Trolltunga. An early morning start takes us to Trolltunga. To enhance our experience of this hike we overnight at top of the mountain. Enjoy this day with a lot of nice views and extraordinary and breathtaking Norwegian nature.
Day 3 – Trolltunga to Bergen
Wake up to the amazing views of Trolltunga. Today we enjoy a camp breakfast and return the same way back down the mountain to meet our transfer back to Bergen. We will enjoy a scenic route back to the famous Norwegian city Bergen. Upon arrival we have the rest of the day to relax.
Day 4 – Bergen
After an eventful couple days in the mountains this is the first of two days of just “chillin” in one of the most beautiful and historical cities of Norway. Bergen is famously known as the rainiest city in the world but keep in mind that Norway and its citizens are always on the top of the list of the happiest nations in the World. Bergen offers a lot of things to do and is not just famous as port for fisherman’s but also a vibrant culture. We invite you to join a light walk with our tour leader across the city center of Bergen.
Day 5 – Bergen
After breakfast we will head out for a guided walk around the Bryggen district of the city. This is a World Heritage site and one of the world’s greatest harbor cities, where the settlement of Bergen originated. Wander through the reconstructed medieval homes and warehouses, visit the beautifully preserved wooden Hanseatic Museum (a former trade building), and explore the old Hanseatic port area – the Hanseatic merchant confederation dominated Baltic maritime trade for 400 years from the 15th century. Then you’ll have free time in the afternoon to do as you wish.
Day 6 – Bergen / Mount Floyen
First things first. This morning after a good breakfast we will head on to our journey to the Floyen Mountain Funicular, taking us 1,050 feet above the city in just seven minutes, and offering amazing views of the deep blues of the sea and the pastel-colored houses from the top of Floyen mountain.
This is just a perfect viewpoint to see magnificent panorama of the city of Bergen and adjacent fjords.
Day 7 – Bergen
Today is a free day for participants to enjoy the city and explore as you wish. There are a number of optional activities available. This is our final full day in Bergen, go sightseeing, enjoy the various cafes and restaurants or wander the town and simply take it all in.
Day 9 – Depart
After breakfast we make our way back to the airport for our onward flight home.
